If we did get Mohicans on UHD, it would most likely be the 2010 cut, which was from a 4K remaster from the negative, I believe, or we might get (based on past evidence) yet another cut, either way with the altered color timing.

Asking the right questions, but I think it is quite certain that there will be a Nordic release looking add past Disney 4K UHD releases.

Finally! Pre-ordered.

This is the first and only 4K UHD catalog release on physical in 2022 from Disney. And it's a Fox restoration from several years ago. I wonder what their single 2023 catalog release will be?

I was under the impression HDR isn’t necessarily supposed to “pop”. The film has always been fairly restrained and flat looking. I’ll defer to someone more technically knowledgeable - I think I read the HDR is really just SDR in an HDR container - but my cursory understanding is that it’s an accurate representation of that particular restoration (which is controversial on its own for changes to color tone etc).

I don't usually pay the premium for Steelbooks (most of the ones I have I got on sale) but this one is a thing of beauty. Pre-ordered.

If it doesn't "pop (ugh)", then Geoff D should be happy.

Same here. I'll get a little bummed when I see it for $10 on Black Friday, but I know what happens if I wait. It sucks when your buying patterns can alter reality.

So at far as you know they’re not doing Home Alone 2 for the holidays? It’s an anniversary year and I thought the first had sold well.

Wasnt Avatar pretty much confirmed for later this year? I would swear I saw a new article where Disney said it was remastered and coming closer to the sequel's release. I guess you never know these days with the idiots on twitter making stuff up, and then it gets reposted as "legit" news elsewhere on the web. Wish these clowns would stop...

Its confirmed for re-release to theaters in September.

Nothing about a physical release yet. And with all the IMAX scenes, it will likely appear on Disney+ before a physical disc is released.

This disc is a disaster waiting to happen just like Pirates of the Caribbean was at the start of the year....

At least this time it won't be Disney's fault. Mann already did his damage in 2017

No most other movies that I have that are in HDR the colors pop. A good example would be The Blues Brothers. The Heat blu-ray looked better than the 4K digital. It was much brighter.

I'm holding out for the original colour timing and sound mix.

What?

Avatar is 1,78:1 on Blu-ray, streaming and will likely be the same on UHD. There is no such thing as "IMAX" scenes in Avatar.

Yes, but at last The Terminator and Titanic look gorgeous on bluray.

I predict this will get a 2.5/5 for picture quality on the site review if it really is the same transfer as iTunes.
