While I'm thrilled to finally be able to own it on Blu-ray (I refuse to ever buy SF), I agree the continued lack of respect for the film is disheartening. No director's cut, no 4K UHD and the same extras that were on the ancient DVD make this a missed opportunity. Not even a new transfer. The one used for my MGM HD recording leaves a lot to be desired.

Bittersweet is correct. I had it in the back of my mind when some of the SF oop discs were being upgraded to 4K by VS, that this would be one of them.

Good for anyone that doesn't have it on blu, bad for us long time fans that have owned the disc for years now.
