I'm a little disappointed that Chess of the Wind did not get a solo release. I'm glad they're still going strong with the World Cinema releases, but it's a bit frustrating because you know that- like Trances- they'll release Chess of the Wind solo eventually, in a couple of years.

Does anyone know who they're licensing Exotica from? The DVD for it was distributed by Miramax.

Pretty sure Studiocanal doesn't allow Criterion 4K rights when they haven't released it in 4K themselves. That's been the pattern so far, at least, and it makes sense, since granting CC 4K rights could take away any potential sales of their own releases.

Blow Out is my favorite Brian De Palma film. I'm in like Flynn.

I used to own Le Corbeau (The Raven) on DVD before I sold most of my DVDs years ago. It is an impressive slice of darkness. Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon seems to have been heavily influenced by it.
