Nah. If it was a same format maybe. Otherwise almost every thread in this section would be double dipping

People have been saying this for several years already in regards to 4K mastered Blu-rays being rereleased in 4K. This isn’t new.

Also, I’ll double dip.

I'll be picking this one up. It's probably getting a 4K because of it's 35th Anniversary.

Nah, it's a double-dip. Doesn't matter the format. There's definitely releases that qualify and they're always silly when they happen. Upgrades in general aren't double-dippy tbh. Calling every thread a double dip is hyperbole tbh!

No it's not because it's being released on a new format. We never called it double dipping going from DVD to Blu-ray. The same would apply here going from Blu-ray to 4K UHD. It's only double dipping when they release the same movie more than once on the same format.

Way too much energy moving goalposts over movie discs today.

Agreed. As glad as I was to see Coming To America get the UHD treatment, Trading Places has always been my favorite Landis/Murphy collab.

Hopefully we see more Paramount Presents titles get the UHD treatment as well. I know Days of Thunder and Almost Famous already got upgrades, but I'd personally like to see Airplane!, Ghost, Roman Holiday, 48 Hrs. and Nashville get upgrades too.

Nah . 46 threads on this front page alone of films released on blu ray before Vs 8 new films. Not hyperbole, fact. Ps I said most not all. Just my humble opinion. But anyway we best move on before I get accused of terminal distraction

This is obviously a tie-in to the Paramount+ series with Joshua Jackson. Lizzie Caplan, and Amanda Peet.

makes sense since Basic Instinct is already on UHD, Now Warner Bros. can put Disclosure out and thus complete the UHD Michael Douglas Sex Trilogy.....

Possible the UHDs will look worse than the BDs? Seems Paramount UHD quality has been iffy as of late as far as compression goes.
