The Bull Moose link that Bolty shared, that used to point to a box set for ~ $130, is now a 404 page.

The other two Bull Moose links, for regular vs deluxe versions of the DE 4K release, now both point a page with identical information (a non-deluxe release).

Tends to happen from time to time when Bullmoose puts something up too early. Happens a lot with their Paramount Presents leaks.

More news here...Star Trek 5 and 6 and TMP Director's Edition available separately in September, but Paramount will also be releasing a 6 movie 4K box set, I guess for those who did not purchase the prior 4 movie release. This from The Digital Bits..oh..and 6 will apparently have the theatrical and Director's cut. Great time to be an OG Trek fan!

Oops, did I forget about the unwritten rule around here about mentioning a certain Site? How dare I do such a thing...how daring indeed...

Eh, it's just that we knew about all that already. You mightn't have, which is why you posted it, but it's crazy the amount of times someone goes "the digital bits have announced x movie!" only for the news to have broken on here a good 24-48 hours earlier.

Blu-ray.com is the source of 90% of his "inside information"
But I check that site once a day because once in a while I get some news I hadn't heard elsewhere.

Yep, he still gets a nugget of newsworthy goodness every now and then but for a site that I used to visit every day, literally, it's become irrelevant as the studios' home video departments have evaporated, and with them went all those insights that the Bits (and indeed other sites!) used to have like production diaries for certain discs. That era, it's gone.

So, um, i know 2 to 6 are coming out but any news about the first one too? I must have missed that. I know they were working on the directors cut so i'm guessing it's coming eventually at least.

It is listed in the earlier Bullmoose links that have now been temporarily removed.

I just hope they use at least some version of Bob Peak's original art, the new DE sort of uses it but it's a bit jazzed up.

Be a shame if probably the best poster of the lot isn't fully utilised on the artwork.

The Motion Picture Directors Edition was released on Paramount+ back in March and the disc has always been down for a September release.

Love that (most) 4Ks are coming out with original poster art. Warner seems to fall behind this new trend, but these Star Trek 4K releases look genuinely sweet. Looking forward to picking them all up.

Man, I am genuinely excited for this and the rest of them in 4K. The Blu-ray era wasn't all that good to these films, so I am very happy to see how they're being handled.

Going to order all six of the standalone editions as soon as they're up. Original poster art is a powerful motivator for me.

Yep, I'm going with the individuals as well for that very reason. I hope the Next Generation films are next.

I personally am only interested in First Contact and to a lesser extent, Nemesis and Generations. I still haven’t watched Insurrection all the way through because I always end up turning it off after about 30 minutes.

Insurrection is a turd, but I've always liked the other three.

Oh, had no idea it was done! Looks good? I'm very intrigued by the restoration!

It's a very mixed bag. Hopefully some of the issues get corrected for the disc, but I'm doubting it.
