Japan ju-on Tv version Blu-ray remastered is coming soon

"Ju-On: The Curse" Tv version(呪怨 ビデオオリジナル版 ) is released in 2000, It is not the same as "Ju-On: The Grudge" in 2002 and 2003. "Ju-On: The Curse" was first released on VHS, and was re-released on DVD in 2014.

in Asia, it is recognized as more horrible than the theatrical version.

According to toei-video's preview, this version will be titled “Ju-On: the original” to be released on Blu-ray remastered version on February 10, 2021.

It's sheer coincidence that I joined the forum the day after this BD was released. Agreed that this original version is the scariest by far, though it's visibly cheaper and cruder than the later movies. My original viewing almost 20 years ago is easily one of the more memorable horror movie experiences of my life. I actually paused it partway through and opened a window in my apartment (it was mid-summer), so that the noises of people on the street would dilute a little the anxiety it was causing.

In case it isn't clear, that's a recommendation. We horror fans are masochists.

Is this disc English-friendly?

According to https://www.yesasia.com/us/ju-on-the...0-en/info.html no.

Does anyone see it on Amazon Japan? I searched the Japanese number and its barcode (4988101211531) but it isn't showing up.

It looks slightly better than DVDs but it's not a huge difference.

I remember the first time I saw these TV movies... it looks like they were shot on something even below SD cameras. Honestly, it adds to the charm of it when I look back now.

... this is not a definite answer to your question. I just wanted to share my love for these movies.
