It's the quintessential Chuck Norris movie in my mind.

When someone brings up Chuck Norris, I'll bring up Dodgeball.

Hasn't Dream Warriors got Dokken on the soundtrack though? Must be great for that reason alone. George Lynch is a fantastic guitarist.

When I first saw DREAM WARRIORS in the theater I thought it was great--- all these years later I've seen it maybe two more times...and I was stunned how silly and juvenile it was... and some of the scenes are cringe worthy...

Truth be told I think the ELM series has aged very poorly compared to other horror franchises... it's a product of the 80's and seems to suffer from the worst part of cheesiness from that decade...

Re: the whole Craven debate, I've always really admired him as a filmmaker and I was gutted when he died. The Last House on the Left is one of my all-time favourite films and while it's rough around the edges, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Since it was the first R-rated movie I saw at the theater, I'll always have fond memories of it. That said, Jennifer's "big break in TV" is the last really good moment in it. The dream warriors are each dispatched just a couple minutes after meeting Freddy, Nancy falls for a very obvious ruse, and Krueger looks like a big disco ball when he's "beaten". Oh, and good on Patricia Arquette for becoming a great actress, because she's awful in this movie.

They are all mediocre BTW.
