Screamers (Planete Hurlante) blu-ray...does it have English DTS-HD 5.1?

Hi there, could anyone who has this French release confirm if it does have English 5.1 DTS-HD soundtrack? If it does have 5.1 DTS-HD, then it would be the only worldwide release with this soundtrack quality. It says on amazon.fr that is contains this soundtrack, but amazon is known to have wrong product detail information ffrom time to time.

It likely does as DVD Profiler is showing the Blu-ray + DVD combo version which was released 6 months prior to this one has English and French DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 audio tracks.

I have some good news!

The film arrived yesterday and I had some sparetime last night so I watched in my HT.

I can confirm it has a english dts hd 5.1 track and it sounds really great in fact! I have a 7.2.4 set up and upscaled the audio to dts neural x. There is a lot of surround sound activity and not only in the action sequences but the audio also provides a much wider sound bubble overall. So its a really good audio track. The french subtitles can be turned off when listening to the english track. There is also and english 2.0 track but I didnt listen to that.

I can also confirm that its regionfree. Besides my Panasonic 820 I have an older Oppo bd player. I tested that Oppo player with the German The Shadow which is region B locked and my Oppo couldnt play it. I then switched to Screamers and that played without a problem.

Picture wise I think its a solid presentation. I havent watched the Scream version, but I dont think this is worse by reading that review. The bitrate average is the same I think.

All in all....go for it!

WOW, thanks for confirming it has the English DTS-HD 5.1 soundtrack. That's fabulous news...!! OK, so time to buy this sucker for the sixth time. VHS, then VHS "special widescreen edition", then DVD, then DVD "special edition", then the blu-ray from Scream and now...finally with proper sound from France...
