I thought the season 1 finale was awesome! Season 1 is what made me such a big fan.

The final scene of the finale especially gave me serious chills.

These are one of the best rentals you can get, but one of the worst buys IMO......great show, but it is the kind of show that you just want to see what happens next and once you see it, you dont want to go back and rewatch. Just my opinion, but again these are a fantastic rent, I would just not waste the $$$$ on a purchase.

I remember watching the pilot back in 2004. When it was over, I was shaking my head and saying "Wow, what the hell did I just watch?"

+ a zillion. I thought the finale was icing on the genius cake.

I also LOVED season 2.

I also thought season 3 started well, and then at the 6th episode erupted with awesomeness.

Season 2 premier was so weird...I thought it was a commercial. Crazy old 70's music with a guy making eggs lol.

When I see a deal either it's new or used I'll have to pick it up starting with season 1. I watched a few eposides but never had the time. So I like this series and would like to start from episode 1 till the end.

I think Lost is the greatest show in history. I was hooked by the end of the pilot. I think the reason some don't like it is because they're unwilling to put in the effort to follow the story. I would agree with every body else that renting the first Disc of season one would be wise. If you're not hooked by then, you'll probably never be.

I disagree. I have watched all the previous seasons before the next season airs on tv. I have picked up on something I missed in every veiwing. In my opinion it has great replay value.

Exactly. You also pick up details you may have missed the first time by rewatching it (ex. there's a detail in the pilot episode that foreshadows something in Season 5). Not to mention it's a show worth watching more than once for entertainment value.

Without going into spoilers, I'll just say that the part involving the boat was great and very unexpected. The last scene on the island however was infuriating. Most of the season had been building up to finding out what was in that thing and then it ends just before the payoff.

I'm going to disagree with you on this one. There's so much going on that every time you watch the show you'll catch something you missed the first time. There's so much foreshadowing going on that things you didn't catch originally will make more sense now. Unlike many shows this show had a long-term plan. I'll admit I wasn't a fan of season 2, during it's originally airing I stopped watching and didn't start watching the show again until I heard good things about season 3 so I got the season 2 DVD and season 3 Blu-ray to catch up. Even though I've seen every episode now that the first 4 seasons are Blu-ray I'll probably rewatch the whole series, should be done around the time the season 5 Blu-ray comes out.

True...I was spoiled and didn't start watching Lost until December...just before S.5 started...So I was able to just go from disk to disk season to season...I didn't have to wait a year..but now I feel everyone's pain since I have to wait until January to figure out what's going on with S.6.

Yes. The show is well worth watching. This show was made for hidef. I only watched up to the end of season 2, but then I had to work nights so I couldn't see it anymore.

First move out of that cave you must be living in if you have never watched an episode and like sci-fi; that's nearly oxymoronic. Next buy it, if you actually don't like it you can sell it to someone you work with for nearly the same price as you buy it for I would bet. Third, this is a warning, the show is addictive, the withdrawal pains are terrible in off season. I am waiting for a season one analysis thread to be started by sfmarine or penitus. We all need a fix real bad.

Okay, okay, I'm convinced. As I said before, my family is planning on going to the States in a week, and there will be some shopping involved, so I'll start picking up the seasons then. My next question would be, where in the States is the best place to pick these up? We're going to Coeur d'Alene and Spokane if that helps anyone on giving me a place to look.
