Australia Absentia: The Complete Series

Have done a thread search and there isn't an existing thread in this sub-forum for the upcoming Australian Blu-ray release of Absentia: The Complete Series. It's a recent television drama series I'd been meaning to see, so to see it's getting a Blu-ray release somewhere is welcome news (still to get the Australian release of Ghost Story/Circle of Fear).

Did you ever pick this up? I'm considering it but just wanted confirmation if this has any subtitles

Even though I hadn't completely forgotten about this Blu-ray release, your post reply has been a helpful reminder. I haven't got a copy of it yet (put in on the backburner for a bit), but I will get the set at some point. There are around a handful of Australian physical media releases (a mixture of films and TV series) which I want to get eventually (including the Ghost Story/Circle of Fear Blu-ray set).

Contacted Via Vision this past weekend about the English subtitles, and they replied back earlier today, saying Absentia: The Complete Series doesn't have English subtitles.

Thanks, that's a shame. Another Via Vision release i won't be picking up. They did the same with Timeless as well not to mention Taken (TV Show) :/

While I don't need subtitles at the moment to understand everything that someone is saying in a film, TV series etc., they can come in handy with some television series today when actors are mumbling their lines (intentionally or unintentionally). I was hoping another Blu-ray release (but with the option of subtitles included) of Absentia would have been announced since the Via Vision release a few years ago, but sadly not by the looks of it. The first season is currently being shown on a UK television channel, and it reminded me of the Via Vision Blu-ray release.
