Nice sets guys I bought the 56" DLP for the livingroom wanting a 1080P set only to find out after reading through the entire spec sheet that the only true 1080P input is the PC input the HDMI inputs are just 1080i with a deinterlacer built into the set.

My first post here.
Well, finally went HDTV last xmas (2006) and went with a Panasonic TH-42PX600U Plasma.
This thing i truly adore and the reviews on it are nothing but excellent.

Tried for a Vizio at first but started reading on plasma technology because i didnt want one of them dark lighted or non viewable from a side angle screens.
BR movies look supurb on this thing. Super sharp, very rich darks and vivid brights. Ill repeat: Damn very rich darks like ive never seen and very rich brights.
HD gaming looks incredible especially if you are using component or HDMI cables.
I love the screens adjustment choices: Hifill for 720p/1080p or the usual which is even better Full screen (full picture).
There is one that works great to even out the stretch of a widescreen with 4:3 source. It manages to squeeze the picture somehow and make it looks better than just wide heads as you would normally get displaying a 4:3 on a widescreen. This feature betters that problem while keeping the picture in widscreen. Very Cool.

Couldnt find any faults but ive read in some reviews that there is no picture in picture feature.
This is not true. You just have to look on your remote and find where it says "split". You can split 2 screens and even resize em as long as they are running at the same resolutions.

Anyways, i am so truly happy with my hdtv that i will re-wrap it for myself this xmas.

I have a 61" Samsung DLP 1080p (HLS6187W) in the living room for Blu/ HD cable. This TV is awesome and has really made me a fan of Samsung TV's.
I also have a Samsung 23" 720p (LN-T2354H) in the bedroom, but just with an upscaling samsung DVD player, and a Spectre 1080p (dont know the model #) 37" in my computer room which I use as a monitor. The Spectre's not the best quality TV in the world, but I got it cheap from Costco.

I have a 61" Samsung DLP in my living room.

The picture quality is amazing, especially for a rear projection. And you can't beat the cost of the rear projection sets if you have a little more room to work with and don't need to have a plasma on the wall.

Gimpy wimpo Samsung TX-R3079WH [30in CRT 1080i].

Yep, 1080i, but well, we live in an apartment and as it is, we end up too close to TV [which is also the same reason I'm putting off getting a 1.3 hdmi reciever, don't quite need 7.1 sound if I don't have the space to put up 7.1 speakers :P).

I don't camp only teh wife and kids camp so if it is raining while they are away they atleast have something to do while they are stuck in the trailer. My idea of camping is 4 concrete walls and room service LOL.
