I held off on the Imprint specifically hoping that this would be one of KL's Paramount acquisitions.

Absolutely love this movie.

I thought I’d be the only one to say that. But in my defense, I was deployed for half of the year and when I returned to my family I wasn’t even thinking of movies (at least not this type: mainly Blockbuster type or kid movies, lol).

Just finished watching this on HBO Max. It's a beautiful film and Newman is terrific in it (when isn't he?).

Beautifully shot and I think this will look terrific on UHD.

Day one. Love this movie. Perhaps now my most anticipated release for the rest of the year..

This is an excellent film - whether you are just a Paul Newman fan or a Jessica Tandy fan, or an admirer of the excellent novel by Richard Russo. I can't recommend this one high enough.
This was a first date movie with the last woman I went out with prior to meeting my future wife.
So glad to hear this is finally coming out. I will add this one into my growing list for a future Kino sale.

One of my top 10 films of the 90's. I was worried my DVD would be the best version I would get. I will keep my Imprint pre-order for the extras but will definitely get this day one!

I like your list but I have never liked The Color Of Money. The only good thing about the movie is Paul Newman finally won his Best Actor Oscar which he should have won for the rest of the films on your list and The Hustler.

I'd put The Hustler in place of The Color Of Money.

One of my all time favorite scenes in a Paul Newman movie is the final 30 minutes of Absence Of Malice when Wilford Brimley comes in and hammers everyone and Newman just smirks. Bob Balaban is so incredible in this film.

I also have a real soft spot for Rally Round The Flag Boys. Joanne showed the script to Paul and he said this is sh!t. Joanne then yells at him and says I finally found something we could do together because we're apart so much and you don't like it? Paul then says let me take a look at that script again, wow you know it's actually really good, we can work with this let's do it!

Joan Collins is funny as hell in the film too. Still not out on bluray at least in the United States.

Also I love Nobody's Fool. Paul went back to his cocky acting style which he abandoned for the tone he developed for Absence and Verdict.

it seems as paul newman got older he started getting a steve mcqueen cool vibe..meaning he transcended his age and made the laid back cool vibe movies...and yes melanie griffin topless is priceless..another cool vibe movie is the color of money and i hope gets the 4k treatment..but to be honest his whole career had a cool vibe
