Default 80's comedy suggestions

Hi all, I just finished watching The Survivors (Robin Williams and Walther Mathau) and I loved it, though I had never heard of it before tonight. Being that I'm pretty young, I don't know of a lot of the good comedies that came out during the 80's, other than the pretty big ones.

I love Harold Ramis' and Howard Hughes stuff, Ghostbusters, Fast Times, Bueller, etc. Anyways, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could throw out some good suggestions, thanks a lot!

No wonder--It was considered an unholy mess in its day.
(Back when people didn't expect a Robin Williams comedy to be bad, and it took them by surprise...)

Focusing an all-encompassing question down to just Blu-ray availability for now, we already have most of the decade icons:
- Ghostbusters
- Trading Places
- Coming to America
- Romancing the Stone
- Fletch
- The Princess Bride
- Roxanne
- Heathers
- Home Alone
- A Christmas Story

(soon)
- Ferris Beuller's Day Off
- This Is Spinal Tap
- 48 Hrs.
- Risky Business

...Can't get more 80's than that without the hair mousse .
(Well, you could, but you'd have to go to SD for "Clue", "Tootsie", "The Man with Two Brains", "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", "Top Secret", "Three Men & a Baby" or "Good Morning, Vietnam".)

Yeah I love Good Morning Vietnam. Well thanks for the suggestions fellas, I've got some watching to do these next few weeks. While searching I also found a couple of others I had never heard of that looked awesome, The Great Outdoors and Spies Like Us. My Netflix queue is getting fat!

I am so burnt out on Big, it is not even funny. It was my sisters favorite when we were younger and I have seen it way too many times.

If you can find it anywhere, seek out a movie called GORP. One of the most bizaare summer camp sex comedies ever made. Look for debuts of Dennis Quaid and Rosanna Arquette.

Used Cars is a must. The DVD commentary from Kurt Russel, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale is even funnier than the movie and the movie rocks!

Three O' Clock High-Another great title.

Since you're doing Spies Like Us, add Doctor Detroit and make it an Ayckroyd double feature.

Three of my favorites! I have seen Stripes so many times that I can almost recite the movie from start to finish.

"Lee Harvey, you are a madman! When you stole that cow, and your friend tried to make it with the cow. I want to party with you, cowboy".

my favorite quote from the movie.
