It's possible Orbit DVD will carry it after release. They currently have the Tenebre Arte Orginale for example even though it's technically an Arrow Shop 'exclusive'. Their price is also lower than ordering it direct from Arrow especially if you take advantage of the free shipping code.

I'm very gun-shy about having Arrow ship limited editions across the pond. Ordered two copies of Tenebre to be safe and unfortunately both arrived with crushed corners (plus one with a broken disc holder). Was shipped in a box but the material is flimsy and offers little protection. Meanwhile I must have ordered 5-10 Arrow limited editions from Orbit and Grindhouse in the past few weeks (I went a little overboard ) and not one arrived with noticeable damage.

One of my favorites but I never knew there was more than one cut. Which version is on the Criterion BD?

Same here. Seems like a trend now. Hate having to order from Arrow UK. Pacakaging is lousy. Constantly have to hold my breath.

Watched this for the first time earlier this year. Bought the Criterion earlier this month at the Barnes and Noble 50% off sale. Have the original artwork edition of this 4K on preorder now. 2022 will forever be my compressed year of VIDEODROME.

Never seen this. Is it as good as Shivers, Rabid, and Scanners? It can’t possibly be?!

It is arguably more well known than those films. Mostly because this was his first Studio Film.

I think I like Videodrome more than the others. That being said Cronenberg films to me depends on what mood I'm in at the time...

Like Rabid is Winter close to X-Mas film... Videodrome chilly weather, Crash is kind of Spring/ Summer

I can't wait to see this 4K transfers for sure.

Going to go with the original artwork cover. I still have Arrow UK's previous Blu-Ray Limited edition and it is mint with the plastic wrap still on it. (so I have that cover art) I also still ahem my Criterion Blu.. I can't part with either editions.

It’s better. But if you like those three it should be a safe blind buy for you.

That and go into it blindly don't let it get spoiled for you. I'd just avoid Videodrome threads until it's release. Would love to experience it again for the first time.

I need those eternal sunshine people to wipe my memory of certain movies so I can relive them lol

If I order from Diabolik will the case have reversible OG art? If so, I think that's the way to go to avoid the ratings logo and have original art on the poster.

Yeah, Arrow usually if not always, has the poster artwork as the reversible cover art. As long as they use a plastic keep case for the disc. Looking at the promo layout looks like it should be. The old Arrow UK Blu Limited had paper digipack cases.

Thanks for the info.

The only thing missing from the OOP arrow blu is the short films? I’m sure it can be found online?

That disc was released separately as David Cronenberg's Early Works, though it appears to be going OOP - still available at Arrow, but not at Amazon:

I think "Transfer" and "From the Drain" are on YouTube. (At least "Transfer" is, anyway.) The longer "Stereo" and "Crimes of the Future" are on the US Criterions of "Scanners" and "The Brood", respectively. However, "Stereo" and "Crimes of the Future" are mainly curios, in my opinion (also shared by others); I don't think I'd have the patience to sit through them a second time, as they definitely drag. It is fascinating to see his 'student films', though.
