I remember when I was a kid, VHS/BETA home videos of movies didn't come out until a year after the films were in theaters and were over $100. This was the early/mid 1980's.

Now we see specs when the movies are just arriving in theaters. Literally.

Strictly speaking, they don’t. Their releases are UK-specific, but they offer a U.S. online storefront set for the U.S. dollar. The U.S. site carries the majority of what you’ll find on the UK one but every once in a while, as with the forthcoming BD Steelbook of SOYLENT GREEN, you have to use the UK site to find a title, even though they’re still perfectly fine with shipping it to the United States.

That's a bum reception? If we're talking the RT score, I don't think that's even that bad for this one.

I actually couldn't argue with most of the "negative" review blurbs. They aren't wrong, but the question is whether or not one actually cares that it's a style-over-substance movie. I didn't. Those type of movies can work for me as long as they aren't boring and the action is decent enough. I think this one got a little long in the tooth by the end and could have used a stronger finish, but it was still pretty entertaining.

I mean, yeah, it hasn't gotten good reviews. If I'm excited for a film and plan on seeing it in theaters I'd like to see that it gets more than meh reviews. I'll still check it out when it comes to streaming or what not but I think mindless stylistic action films are capable of being good and there have been plenty that have gotten good reviews, so I don't believe that it's just them expecting Schindler's List or something and being disappointed. I haven't much cared for Leitch's work outside of the first John Wick either so yeah I'm not expecting too much at this point

If you haven't cared much for Leitch's work then that's one thing, but there have been several poorly reviewed movies which I have greatly enjoyed (Tim Burton's Dark Shadows comes to mind)

Movie was a lot of fun. I have a feeling it will grow on me. Will be picking up the steel.

This could be IMAX Enhanced aspect ratio on Bravia Core going by the tech specs. If yes then I will be able to redeem for free as I got 2 more free redeems left and as per Sony, they might pull out only in 2028.
