This is the only release I've owned and verified it was on.

It may be on others but I can't say for sure.

If that's the only US BD release then it should be safe to assume the BD in the 6-film set (and likely this set) also has the credits unless it's a differently authored disc.

I got the 1-6 box set for $12.98, and if that was all I had the double dip would be a no brainer. But I also got the awesome Second Sight Limited edition which I paid $37.99 for. Which means I would pay about the same I've already spent on this franchise for an additional movie and documentary.

The SS disc includes the Festival Cut ending, but not the entire cut. Still pretty interesting.

Yes! An eighth film is coming in 2023.

I'm in exactly the same spot as I also bought the SS release because it felt like a really neat addition to my collection. That said, I have since preordered The Ultimate Collection, but I'm a bit on the fence as to whether I'll keep the order in. Realistically, I probably will.

I went ahead and pre-ordered it as well just in case it truly is a Limited Edition like the Ghostbusters set was. But as you said, I may cancel it before release.

Good question! I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, though since it's not coming out until next year, perhaps a short theatrical release first??

Grabbed this one on Target.com with the $10 off of $50 coupon, came out to around maybe $55. This set is really pretty and I can't wait for it to arrive.
And it definitely seems like they took some notes from Shout on this release.

The artwork on the cases look amazing as well (but I'm not sure why they had to put the Blu-ray + Digital copy banners on them rather than just sticking a 'includes digital copy' sticker on the shrink).

According to IMDB it sounds like a ninth film is also being developed.

Down to $59.99 on Amazon. This is pretty solid price for 8 films and a feature length doc. I was onboard at full price and so this is icing on the cake for me, but we've still got a long ways to go until October and so could this creep even lower? Time will tell.

I'm keeping my Bullmoose pre-order since it would be about the same after tax with Amazon, but it would be nice if they lowered the price too.

If I knew how limited it was supposed to be I'd honestly would just wait for a B2G1.

I'm very curious to see what Target prices it at during a B2G1 sale. I could see them raising the price to $69.99 for the sale and essentially negating much of any real savings but I could also see them offering at the $59.99 price point as well and thus opening the door for some potentially intriguing deals.

Next of Kin, and the Unknown Dimension doc rated by BBFC, so they will likely get individual releases there (or the doc included with Next of Kin).

That would be great if Next of Kin got a UK blu ray, I've been eyeing the French release but the above would very way better.

Dropped a few more dollars to $56.65. Not a huge drop, but perhaps indicative of additional drops to come.

Jason Blum throws Next Of Kin under the bus and indicates more Paranormal Activity films may be on hold for now.

https://screenrant.com/paranormal-ac...uture-details/

Hmm,maybe this is why the only way to get Next Of Kin in the U.S. on physical via this set is because they think they may not make money on it with a standalone release so it's made exclusive to this set?

I didn't think Next of Kin was that bad.
The novelty of the thing may have wore out, but there was still much to enjoy.

I'd tell Jason Blum the Paranormal Activity movies are a little too chaste, too clean.

The only thing wrong with Next Of Kin was that it was part of the franchise at all. Taken on its own I thought it was a rather excellent found footage take on the folk horror film, even if it had no connection to the other films. Taking the anthology approach of Halloween III so late in a series is confusing to audiences. The one before, Ghost Dimension on the other hand was awful, the absolute nadir of the series.
