My "first editions" are mostly paperback first edition first printings from Ballantine and Ace when they reissued them in the early '60's. Look forward to hearing your thoughts when you finish reading.

First off want to thank Joe and Okie for the well wishes for my pup. I sincerely appreciate that. He slept on the sofa with us for the entire movie.

Tonight I chose Gans im Glück (aka Duck Duck Goose) and my oh my, what a nice surprise!

The story was quite touching. I liked the characters and the voice acting was excellent (Jim Gaffigan was perfect as Peng)
The colors were vibrant and the picture sharp on our LG OLED. The 3D had nice depth and there were some pop outs as well.
Be prepared for alot of fart jokes. Kids seem to like those (as does my hubby lol)

I was surprised at a scene near the end of the movie that took place in a Chinese restaurant with a young couple sitting at a table. Considering this has an "0" rating I felt it was very inappropriate. Youngsters probably won't "get" it but like I said, IMO it doesn't belong in a movie with this rating.

All in all an excellent purchase. This is a region B title I bought from amazon Germany.
I will watch it again some time and I'm happy to own it (unlike Assassins Crud, umm Creed)

Jim Gaffigan was in a movie only available in German release? So weird.

Reading your review, I'm suddenly not feeling so hot about my purchase of Assassin's Creed...

Don't worry about it Just_Discovered, my opinion is the minority when reading through the reviews on amazon
There are alot of folks who really like it.
And if you don't I'm sure your local thrift store will appreciate the donation

Actually the movie is available on dvd and blu-ray in other countries hence the English title Duck Duck Goose. The 3D version was a German only release.
This is well worth importing IMO if you have a region B player

I get that for some of you Dr Strange MoM is the only thing on your minds at the moment But this is just a reminder of what a great movie Kong Skull Island is. All 3 of the monster trilogy have great audio, especially if you can mux the Atmos track. But KSI has the most immersive 3D and easily the best story telling. It also has the best photography, although GvK sometimes comes close.

Yes! This is one of those movies I liked enough in theaters, but has grown quite a bit in my estimation over a few home rewatches. Maybe one of my favorite big-budget movies of the last 10 years.

And on a similar note…. Just watched Infinity War last night for the first time on 3D Bluray (saw it 3D in theaters and 2D at home multiple times) and was absolutely blown away! The aspect ratio was a disappointment for about 30 seconds, but the 3D is so engrossing, strong, dimensional… I was just locked in. As a movie I think this is Marvel’s pinnacle achievement and a brilliant set-up for Endgame. The way they balance all the characters/storylines in a way that keeps up the pace without ever being confusing, it impresses me more every watch. But wow, the 3D… I think this has to be their best work? There are some really good Marvel 3D movies from that period, but I really got the feeling with this one that I do with the Golden Age 50’s movies. The 3D is THERE, not like so many of the early 2010’s films where you barely notice it.

The 3D in Infinity war is great but I don't know if it is their best work. But maybe I'm confusing 3D spectacle with great 3D. Captain Marvel and Dr Strange are 3D spectacles. The 3D in Infinity War, Endgame and to a lesser extent Avengers is just great and adds to the viewing experience.

Just ordered Niko 2, Little Brother. Big trouble (also goes under other titles). It's an animated film made jointly by Finland. Denmark and Ireland from 2012. According to the Amazon reviews the 3D is supposed to be very good. And the story nice.

Ordered the German version - The French edition does not have English audio or subtitles. Both Region B.

Best price is from rare waves on eBay. Confirmed the German version was indeed with English Audio before ordering it from him.

KSI is the only, I repeat only, one of the new CGI Godzilla/Kong series I like. It’s sooooo much better than the others. By far the best script, acting, direction, pacing, and 3D quality. Love the ‘70s period setting too. Apocalypse KONG!

I loved KOM when it first came out, but that was mainly because of the Atmos & LFE. Then I bought KSI in 4K and it's a better movie all round except for the audio and less LFE. I didn't like GvK in 4K but the LFE was back baby!!. But when I saw the 3D version of GvK I liked it a lot and is above KOM for me. But I haven't watched KOM in 3D yet so we'll see. Watching KSI this weekend in 3D just confirmed it as the best movie overall, the audio has benefited from my better calibrated speaker levels and I of course now have immense LFE

Also got this, but from amazon as it is allot easier to have it delivered. The 3D reviews I found (although for the french disc) make it seem like we are in for a treat.

Just finished watching Norway's first 3D film - Magic Silver 2 the hunt for the magic horn (Blafjell 2).

A wonderful family film that is simply breathtaking to behold in 3D. Some of the best floating popouts I ever saw. Highly detailed picture quality with magnificent color pallette which included catching the many beautiful facets of the strong winter sunlight and twilight.

As mentioned before, only this Norwegian edition (region B) includes English subtitles and is very hard to locate (the more available German release does not include English subs). The barcode for the disc I have is 7 071788003296.

Very highly recommended if you can find it.
