I checked Discotek Media's release of Fusé against the NISA BD screenshots in the Blu-ray.com review and the JP BD; colors on all three look the same (NISA BD caps are slightly brighter but might be a result of the reviewer's screencap method). Doesn't look like the NISA BD was affected by the color space issue found on some of the older MediaOCD BDs.

The french BD is good and much cheaper.

Thank you so much for that information, that looks waaay better, I’ll definitely buy the French edition and find a way to put English subtitles over it

Does Spice & Wolf not have a Blu Ray release in the UK? How did that happen?

Hopefully Manga UK (Funimation) will lose the rights and Anime LTD will nab it and do a true, English-friendly HD release.

Spice & Wolf is blocked on both, Funimation and Crunchyroll, in the UK. So it seems that the former company Manga UK (now Crunchyroll Ltd.) lost the UK rights...

Anime Limited already stated in the past Spice & Wolf was a no-go. This may (have) change(d) with the upcoming season 3.

Looks like there's now another change for Sentai Filmworks. I just got Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht Nameless Girl in way over a month early from the Sentai Filmworks Shop (doesn't officially release until October 4th), and Joel McCray is not credited for "Disc Authoring", just Ryan Anthony. Joel McCray had been authoring pretty much all Section23 Films Blu-rays since late 2014 (which is when the video quality significantly improved) and as of around June 2020 was joined by Ryan Anthony. Don't know if it'll mean anything, but felt like noting it. Also this is on a BD-25, the underside of the disc shows only one data ring in the center, not two. Is this a common thing for 110 minutes?

Is it actually 110 minutes? All the sources I've seen refer to it as 95 minutes long, which I would typically expect to be on a BD-25.

Generally, Sentai uses BD-25s for anything under 100 minutes, 120+ as BD-50s, and the 100-120 minute range leans towards BD-50s most often, but with BD-25s being used here and there. Venus Wars is 105 minutes long and on a BD-25, No Game No Life Zero is 105 minutes and on a BD-50, Patlabor 2 is 113 minutes and on a BD-50, Locke the Superman is 120 minutes and on a BD-25.

Wait, really? I had no idea. I LOVE this show and was always hoping to see it continued.

I think they just announced it as "A new anime project" and not s3 specifically but hopefully it is a continuation.

Checking on my PS3, it displays 1 hour and 36 minutes with the English credit roll (1 hour and 34 minutes and 49 seconds without the English credit roll). Wonder where they got 110 then for the back cover. Including the Japanese promos and Sentai trailers in the extras?

The original announcement didn't confirm if it was a sequel, remake, or an original work. The video below features the taglines, "Shall we embark on a journey again?" and "Holo the Wisewolf and Lawrence the Merchant's story continues."

I'd love an actual sequel. Everything I saw made it seem like a remake but people definitely could have been running with very thin information.

I despise BD-25's even if the running time was 60 seconds.

Some of these Aniplex of America discs are single layer. Bake and Nise so far that I noticed. Didn't really check Nisekoi or Your Lie In April.

BD-25s aren't necessarily a bad thing. They can be fine for under two hour films, with little to no video extras, and/or films that don't have hugely demanding (ex: high frequency grain) HD masters to begin with.

What's the surplus cost difference between single layer (25GB) and dual layer (50GB) when companies press discs for distribution?

I tried Google and quick searching but couldn't find out.

Given how often we see the BD-50 (1-9) and BD-25 (10-12/13) combo from companies not named Media Blasters (they embrace BD-50s more than others which is something when you consider their size), it's probably rather significant.
