You are comparing sale prices. Yes, of course you can regularly find the Kill Bills and Sin City for less than the MSRP, and I wouldn't be surprised if the sale price of the bundle decreases on Amazon as the release date nears.

Again, it only exists so that people can buy all three in one shrinkwrapped package. Why they don't discount it further to encourage people to buy the bundle is anyone's guess....

the price I saw in store was not a sale price....it was the sticker they put on each movie...

every bundle I've ever seen is cheaper than the movies individually...

even the spider-man trilogy was $60....but individually, they come to $90 total or more..

The sticker you saw in store was for what the store was selling it for, aka the sale price. That doesn't mean it was "on sale" that week. This is more commonly known as the street price, or what a disc "streets" for - the price you actually pay at retail.

The MSRP is the "suggested price" of the disc, which is what is used to determine what the street price will be at the retail level. Hardly anyone, except lame retailers like FYE, actually price any discs at the MSRP.

FYI - The Spiderman trilogy blu-ray box set has an MSRP of $90. There are no individual releases of all three films, so I'm not sure what you are using for a basis there.

ahaha I used to be in retail...I know how it works..

I went to a store and the price that they have these 3 movies for....no matter when you go in there is 19.99 and 24.99...

there is no higher price for it...that is the MSRP at Sears and Movie Stop that I saw today...

Guy, I don't know how to further explain it to you. Those are not MSRPs. Those are street prices at each store.

You do not get it, and frankly I don't have the energy to try to explain it again.

The MSRP (aka list price) of the bundled 3-pack is the same as the 3 movies individually. The only difference is that the 3 movies are shrinkwrapped together. That's all anyone needs to know.

Why is the MSRP of the bundle not lower? I can't answer that - it would make sense to offer a more substantial discount when buying all three.
