Paramount has been double/triple/quadruple/etc.-dipping with Trek home video releases since home video began. The obvious direction for them to take is to release the new shows on Blu-ray first and then, much later, on 4K so as to entice Trekkies to spend their money not just once, but twice.

I'm simply noting that dynamics are different with 4K and the shift with streaming. I'm not breaking any news with this. It just find it odd that some have expectations as if we are living in 2005.
