So this says "Limited Edition"...is it safe to assume there will be a standard edition released at some point in the future? I want these films, but these Arrow chipboard boxes are really staring to take up a lot of shelf space.

I think it is a safe bet that there will be a standard release later on. But I can't see this one sell very fast, considering how little new it has to offer. Yes, you get two new commentary tracks and new transfers, but most people who would be interested in them probably already have the very decent original release, which has been available very cheap for years.

Like others, I would have bought a 4K release without hesitation. Now, I'll probably see if I can get this in a sale later on instead.

I am not going to hold my breath for a 4K release, though. Even though they were apparently scanned in 4K, all the restoration work was done in 2K, and I just don't see Arrow paying for that work to be done again. Either they would have done it right now, or it is most likely never going to happen.

The MSRP is $69.99, so the typical 50% off sale would still be $35. It may not get cheaper than this.

UK Versions tend to get much more heavily discounted than 50% eventually, through sales on Arrow's site. Probably wouldn't be the limited version at that point though.

Thank you for the heads up. With the credit I had on Amazon I was able to pre-order for only $4.68.

Yeah, I picked it up. Sold off my other two for around the same price, so I'm happy with this.
