Germany Lost Place 3D Blu-ray (2013) [Region B Locked] [Germany only]

Has anyone seen this film and can you comment on it, the film, the stereo, whether it's English friendly etc etc etc:

Lost Place 3D Blu-ray

I keep thinking we discussed this film on the forum but I couldn't find where with a search.

Amazon claims it has English subtitles and the comments all praising the 3D. Unfortunately, the movie/trailer looks really really bad - I'll pass.

Had my eye on this one for a while but still haven't
picked it up yet. A little too pricey but maybe someday
soon. Supposed to be native 3D.
13th Man has mentioned this on the 'German 3D blu ray
releases' thread among other titles. It's a good place to
start...

Yeah, Lost Place is native 3D and looks good - decent effects and scope cinematography help. It is a German language film but the disc does thankfully feature English subtitles so no problems there. There's no region code symbol on the sleeve or on the disc but it is region B locked.

The 3D is up to Hollywood standards, far too conservative for my liking in terms of pop-out of course, but the extra depth does add atmosphere. I remember some very nice looking shots near the end of the film.

Without going into spoilers this is an X-Files-ish "cabin in the woods" kind of movie, the central mystery of WTF is going on here kept me watching but I think the film itself could have done with a little bit more of everything, it could have been pushed a bit further. Having said that, I bought a used copy for a reasonable price, it's not a purchase I regret.

Watched this last week, really enjoyed it. I thought the native 3D was excellent, absolutely gorgeous to look at. it just makes me wish every horror movie was in 3D, it adds so much. I enjoyed the movie too, it's a bit different from your average horror movie which made it stand out a bit.

Watched this over the weekend. It's a decent little horror movie from Germany that plays like an extended episode of the X-Files. While geocaching in the woods, four teens encounter strange phenomena that begins to affect their minds. Cast and crew does a good job.

The 3-D is outstanding. Filmmakers went for a stronger sense of depth with nice separation between foreground and background objects. Not a gimmicky movie but some pop-outs are integrated into the story such as one actor aiming her cellphone at the camera to take a picture. I would say the 3-D is on par with many silver age 3-D movies.

All Amazon sites have had some kind of restrictions on international deliveries since the coronavirus spread around the world.

To avoid filling this thread with repetitious discussion, these restrictions can be discussed further in the importing and delivery issues thread where there is plenty of discussion about Amazon already.

Hi jiardonio

Alas, I must confess. That was probably me.

Mentioned in the last bought thread I saw it in the booklet contained with the Wacken disc, did a search on line and found it on mediamops.

Sorry no more copies are left Waverboy.
