The Criterion has more than “a few blemishes”.

If you are regionless the BFI copy absolutely blows it out of the water.

Some of the earliest Criterions that were really old aren’t that amazing. From 2014ish onwards was when everything started getting new scans restorations and fixes for warping.

This film and Stagecoach stick out to me as some Criterions that seriously did not look great.
