$44.98 for the 4K? Ouch.

That's only the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). Eventually the price will go down before the release date.

I didn't like the previous two movies much at all, but enjoyed this one so much that it kind of shocked me.

Hope there's a Commentary because I'd really like to understand stand the thought process behind this movie.

Yay for deleted and extended scenes. I'd love to see an alternative cut tho, if the other test screening is to believe, regarding
[Show spoiler]Corey and Allyson having met in theraphy and the ending where he's still alive, fights Allyson and eventually escaped like Michael back in 78

I haven't watched it yet, nor have I sought out opinions/reviews of the film thus far either, but early feedback has slowly been trickling into some of my newsfeeds and the one consistent thing I've picked up on is that folks don't want to outright say it's bad or to criticize it, but quite clearly did not enjoy the end product. I'm being 100% honest when I say that you are the first person I've seen openly say they liked it thus far out of the 10-15 mentions I've seen pop up.

Based on these early rumblings I'm fully expecting this one to get torn apart and much like Halloween III in the 80's and Rob Zombies Halloween 2 now, to have a small vocal fanbase but overall will be regarded as a major letdown.

I haven't decided yet if I will try to see it in the theater next weekend or will just wait for the inevitable 4k release so I can just watch it at home, but I am arguably more intrigued now by the apparent dissatisfaction/negativity to it than I would have been if more people said they liked it.

As a person who doesn't much care for the Halloween franchise and really, slashers in general, I have to say I genuinely liked Halloween Ends. Imo, it's by far the best entry in DGG's trilogy.

I didn't like 2018 and Kills all that much, but, after a second viewing, I did come around on Kills a bit. I suppose I'll give the first two another watch and if end up liking 2018 a bit more I'll probably get the 4K Trilogy set.

I manage a theatre and have talked to nobody who didn't enjoy it. Literally not one person. I've seen plenty of negative mentions online, but have also seen plenty of positive ones.

This was the best of the trilogy, they went for something truly new in the franchise and it worked. It was certainly ballsy to follow Kills with something so different, but whether you liked it or not, at least they didn't regurgitate the criminally dull H20.

If I was one of the many screenwriters, though...
[Show spoiler]I wouldn't have killed off Cameron in Kills; he should have turned into the Corey character for Ends. I also would have kept the original ending with Corey becoming the new Shape when Michael died (Laurie's voiceover at the end even sounds like they kept that ending), but oh well.

I will pick this up once the digital drops below $10, hopefully $4.99 at some point. I really don't want to pay anymore for it, but need it to complete my Halloween set. I really hated this movie, to be honest.

Why the hell would you buy a movie you really hated. That makes no sense. Would you buy clothes you won’t wear? Would you buy food you won’t eat? Why are movies different? I will never understand this “I have to complete the set” crap. If you don’t like a movie, don’t buy it. They’re movies, not baseball cards.

I can swallow a stinker or two if it’s forced into a set. But I could never see myself buying a title individually that I didn’t like. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on shouts 4K set because I loathe Resurrection. I love Curse and H20 so I will get it when it starts showing up used for 50-60.

If you’re forced to own it in a box set, that’s one thing, but the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard from any film collector is “I hate that movie, but I have to complete the set.” It’s so ridiculous and tells me they care more about the idea of collecting things than the things they’re actually collecting.

Hope DGG does a commentary on this one. Maybe McBride can show up to and crack some jokes.

Count me in as another fan of this film. I think it's the best of the new trilogy.
