Pitt. Just for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford alone – his best performance in a film. Cooper hasn't quite delivered anything on that level yet.

Both have been nominated for 4 Oscars for acting. Pitt has won for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood whereas Cooper hasn't yet. Pitt has also made about 30% more movies than Cooper.

Couple of fair points there, but Oscar nominations/awards aren't the only measure of notable acting and consideration of how many films each actor has made wasn't part of the original question.

I will say that Cooper was a standout in American Sniper and very funny in Mystic Pizza – so, like Pitt, can do serious drama and also comedic roles.

I think the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for 2020 should have gone to Joe Pesci for The Irishman, but Pitt was very good in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I never really liked Bradley Cooper, I don't know why... Brad Pitt on the other hand has put out some really good performances in films that I like so he gets my vote

I like Cooper, but lately I've found that Pitt is standout in terms of acting in comparison.
