I built a few machines for people in the early/mid 2000s using EVGA main boards and they were all crap. Littered with BIOS and POST issues, even after multiple firmware updates. Yeah they've come a long way since then, and I agree they have great customer service, but add to the above the one purchase I made for myself which was a GTX 1070 that died on me within a couple of years due to a design defect hasn't given me a reason to trust their products.
