You'll probably be shocked to know that this was my first David Lean experience!!! What a joy. Where to go next?
Here is a David Lean thread with his films listed in chronological order:https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=202623

(I personally think Brief Encounter is his masterpiece )

I would suggest to keep his lengthy Hollywood epics to the last, or at least intersperse them with his British pictures. If you can play region A, this box has some wonderful films:

There's some really big gaps in Lean's films on BD in his own country. Hopefully we'll get Madeleine and The Passionate Friends from someone. Ryan's Daughter is definitely overdue an upgrade too.

I love that set. Along with David Lynch, Criterion’s Powell & Pressburger, Hitchcock and Lean DVDs were the reason I went multi-region.

The Lean/Coward box set and A Canterbury Tale DVD are my all time favourite Criterion releases.

I bought The Passionate Friends from France recently because I was fed up of waiting. Shameful no UK release of Olive Twist either, and Great Expectations is bare bones.
