It has Dolby Vision which I want because I have a Sony OLED with Dolby Vision. But the voice control stuff isn't something I'm terribly interested in but I'm sure my wife would love it.

Just want to make sure I'm looking at the right one because right now it's about double what I paid for the "highly rated" POS Sony 700 player.

Are you referring to the HCDZ remote that's listed for the Panasonic 900 models? Will that work for an 820 player? Or is there another brand/model of remote you would recommend?

You have the right player. I can never remember the exact letters that go with the number. Mine is actually the DP-UB824, and probably a few more letters after that. They're all the same players and the different numbers are just regional differences and sometimes retailer specific.

I'm not sure what HCDZ is, but the remote some of us have been buying is the one that comes with the 900 or 9000 Panasonic player. I believe this is the exact one I have. Very sturdy and very good button clicks. The one that comes with is decent enough, but this one just blows it out of the water.

I don't know anything about voice control.

The HCDZ I was referring to was a brand of replacement remote I found on Amazon which looks very similar to what you linked to:

But actually this one looks closer as it actually has the print on the bottom of the remote (if that matters at all):
