Sorry, I don't mean to pick on you, especially when it's been demonstrated that a sub Y-splitter can add benefit.
Actually if you use the search function and look up old threads you will see that simply increasing your subs output via the receiver will achieve the exact same effect.

Some people even laughed when they realized the first thing they did after adding the splitter was turn down the sub in the receivers menu.

You gain no additional performance from a Y splitter.

There you go. The only benefit a Y-splitter adds is the same that can be achieved without paying the "peace of mind tax".
