Which question, is there any difference between the promotional release and the retail release?

Did the original 3D release have a slipcover? Or was it just in a white case with a little depth on the cover? I ask this because we recently got a new copy into our BBY and the case is white but the cover is normal and yet it has a slipcover this time around.

Can anyone confirm if the 2010 3D release had a slip?

Been a while since this thread was updated, so would just like to warn all that the BD-Live functionality of the disc not only no longer works but prevents the disc from loading if automatic BD-Live connectivity is enabled on your player (or at least the Panasonic DP-UB820). Took me 2 copies to work this out so hopefully can save a few people from the same error!

Thanks for the heads up. On my PS3 this will probably freeze it, but I usually fix that by disabling the internet temporarily.

I watched this on my vacation. I've seen the movie before but honestly don't remember if I saw it in 3D. I doubt I had a 3D TV yet (2011) when I watched it. I read the book many times as a child (although have little memory of any details now).

Despite the incredibly absurd premise this movie is a lot of fun. It's easily something worth streaming once. But the reason you should get it is the great 3D. The 3D is quite good, with a lot of depth and occasionally some popping out. It is mostly medium and medium strong and works very well. It is super cheap so I would highly recommend getting this if you haven't seen it.

I was able to get to the menu but it took a long time. I then disabled internet and this issue went away. Wish players would time out on BD live crap ore gracefully.

I enjoyed this. Good animated flick with pretty good 3D. A few popouts. Movie was funny too.

I know this is the 3D thread. I come with only respect. Please don’t attack me. But I was just wondering if there has been any news or rumors about a 4k release? This movie is hilarious and a 4K / HDR grade would be almost as good as 3D.

If there was news about it, it's very unlikely that it would be discussed here. Probably best to ask in the 4K forum.

I prefer my FLDSMDFRs in 3D.
