I think the difference is PJ did the LOTR remasters himself at his own post production studio in New Zealand. From the notes in the first post, Universal did the scan, Turbine did the remaster work, and PJ signed off on color.

I don’t how as a filmmaker why he’s so adversed to grain same with the back to the future creator’s James Cameron The list goes on do they not know what film is and how it’s supposed to look like?

Some filmmakers think of grain as the texture of their film. Others think of it as a limitation of the film medium. I'm sure Jackson is more about the images he captures rather than the granular texture. When projected, film grain is less noticeable than it'd be on a 4K scan of the camera negative, so maybe some of the filmmakers feel there's some leeway in filtering it off for home presentations - they never intended you to see the grain in the first place.
