Hulu is doing their ad-supported plan for $1.99 per month for 12 months.

It's only before - like 2 minutes worth. They do play during televisions shows and, with "Friend of the Family" at least, they can get annoying.

HBO Max is doing $1.99 per month for 3 months with adds. The deal ends on monday. I heard the adds aren't that bad but haven't signed up yet.

I haven't read the details for each one, but note HBO Max is only for the ad-supported plan. Some of these are also on offer at Amazon Prime Channels, but price is better at Roku Channel.

And note that you are able to add Disney Plus as an add-on for $2.99 a month for the duration of the Hulu plan. (This is a repeat of last year's offer except Hulu portion was $.99 last time.)

Make sure you use the same e-mail for both.

Mine expires today, and if they offered the same deal again I'd probably get it again - but on the other hand, my blood pressure would probably be lower from not having to deal with the horrible AMC+ app for a year.

I read that some movies on Max have ad breaks while others don't. I think that's the deal breaker for me. I understand TV having ads because TV has always had ads, but I don't want ads during movies.

I did the hulu add disney+ for $4.98 a month for a year. Hulu has ads and im pretty done with it, but ill watch it every now and then but the cheap d+ sealed the deal

Agreed. But Thankfully, the ad breaks are extremely short. Network television breaks can be almost half of the show’s running time.

Late to the party, but do you get to keep the $.99/month Premium Plan if you decide to downgrade from Premium Plus to Premium after a month or two?

I haven't cancelled yet, but the $.99 and $5 are billed separately so it shouldn't be a problem.
