R2D2

I am waiting for the Gonk droid to get its own limited series on Disney+, that might get me to subscribe.

The imperial probe droid, very iconic in both visual and audio design.

Instead of "favorite" Droid the better question is which one made you care about them as a "person". And the answer to me is B2EMO. R2 gets a lot of love because of nostalgia but did anyone really think it was anything more than a program?

B2EMO clearly was upset and missed Maarva. The droids being sentient is an untapped SW story.

I like the one from Rogue One. It saddens me, however, that anyone knows the names of any but the first two.

I understand knowing R4 or IG-88. But the rest, yeah...

R2 has a range of beeps and whistles to indicate emotional response. You know when he's sad, scared, happy, etc. It's easier to achieve that with dialogue, as in B2EMO's case. (Don't get me wrong, I like B2, too.)

K-2SO’s brutally honest and sarcastic nature stole my heart from the moment he entered screen and chastised Cassian for working with Jyn.

And then obvi R2D2 and C-3PO with BB-8 close behind.

Droideka would be my favorite imperial droid.
