Default Trend Setter or Forgetter?

Lets be honest guys/girls, most of us fall hard for that "Got to have it" item or gadget. New and improved, faster or better, words like these are hard to ignore. What I'm wondering is three things. Will you admit to jumping on the "latest and greatest" trends of the day? Or do you like what you like and won't be tricked into riding the bandwagon. Is there a trend or gadget that you can't shake for your life (even know it's WAY out of style) And lastly, Is there a trend out there now or from the past that you just never and will ever give into?

iPhone. Part of me wants one so i don't have to carry my ipod and cell phone all the time, but i'd really rather wait till it can hold a lot more songs and the price comes down. The thing that turns me off is the commercials, the yuppies and kids that seem to be chained to them, and the idea that "how can you live without one."

You said it yourself though.

If you carry an Ipod and a cell phone everywhere, and the Iphone is both of these things in one...

How CAN you live without one?

You're already technically not living without one, it's just that Apple has done the service of putting both of these things in one package for you.

Yeah, it's a good idea. Combining two devices lots of people carry around into one device, but i already feel attached to my cell phone as it is. I mean if i lose my phone then i'll only be able to remember a couple KEY numbers, as opposed to when i was 8 and could remember everyones number. Pathetic really how dependent we become on tech.

I'd say it's a convenience thing over necessity.

When you were 8 they probably didn't have computers as powerful as they are now, and cell phones were a wet dream unless you wanted to carry around a car battery accessory.

So back then it was write the number down in your address book, or simply forget it because you HAD to remember it.

Right now? I'll be damned if I can remember the Wife's cell number, {it's in my phone} because I really don't HAVE to remember it, I can just ask her again if I forget... it's logged in the '$#!+ I don't have to bother remembering category'
