It can't be that bad, didn't Anne Hathaway get topless???

As for a great movie on BD with a stellar transfer, and outstanding acting which is simply by far to damn difficult to watch a second time because it is SO sad....

Million Dollar Baby

Got to be the saddest ever, I win!

Two sad movies that are just recently released and that I'd like to recommend (because no one seems to have seen them):

The Lives of Others

The Host

I almost forgot:

The Patriot: In the same way the loss of a parent is sad, the loss of a child is even worse.

Jacob's Ladder: My all time favorite movie, (see above). The movie is more scary or freaky than sad. Another ending that gets ya though.

That's all for me.

Platoon

Still gets me every time. Beethoven's Adagio For Strings was put to excellent use in this film. Very haunting.

Sad as in all those people died, not in the case of Leo...kinda found that funny.

Forgot to add Pans Labyrinth...that one was depressing.

Two saddest movies I ever saw was:

I Am Sam (Michelle Pfeiffer and Sean Penn)
My Life (Nicole Kidman and Michael Keaton)

Both of these I thought were good as well.

Terms of Endearment, particularly for anybody who has kids. Just thinking about the scene where Emma (Debra Winger's character) is saying goodbye to her boys gets me choked up.

Dead Poets Society. "Oh captain, my captain". Jeez, that's a tearjerker.

Watching Forrest Gump say goodbye to Jenny is also a tearjerker.

Off topic, there was once a thread on Fark.com about what shows/movies made men cry-- I think the consensus No. 1 was the episode of Futurama called "Jurassic Bark". I've never seen it personally though.

I turn off the tv when that episode comes on, I emotionally cant handle it, I will admit it made me cry the two times I saw it, refuse to watch it ever again.

If you've ever had a dog you would understand why.
