Great to hear that Paramount is still in the 3D game.
Expected an only flat cinema release for this. After Warner canceled all 3D conversions for newer entrys of their 3D movies , I thought Paramount will do the same, after Top Gun 2 was just released flat on all screens.

I think this is an first post Avatar 2 3D decision!

Hopefuly somerhing happens and Paramount will give RSM the go for a 3D Blu-ray or do it self.

They give old, very unknown movies a first time Blu-ray release and people commenting like "who needs this". I think they would sell much, much more copies making a "Best of 3D" boxset including titles like "Mission Impossible: Falllout", "Bumblebee", "Wonder Park" and the new Transformers 3D movie and give it single keepcase releases...

Guys, write to these companies, saying you are in 3D love again, because of Avatar 2, asking for a late 3D Blu-ray comeback! Let them know we would still give them our money!

Something tells me, there is a chance for a 3D disc!

Sadly Paramount is not a distribution partner of RSM, unless there’s some kind of special detail like Sony USPHE handles their distribution in Australia or something.

I`m not 100% sure, but I thought Paramount titles like "Mission Impossible: Fallout" are under Universal distribution in Australia. Looked up Universal Australia websites a long time ago and there were also Paramount titles mentioned and advertised. Guess Paramount titles are theoretical in reach for RSM by Universal.

Until Paramount releases their 3D movies they have locked they're dead to me. :/

I won't even try to change their minds so that they release it on 3D in a streaming app. I chose to give my money to others that do want to get my money by releasing 3D blu-rays.

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether or not to expect 3D this time. For me it's the difference between seeing it and not seeing it at all.
I would guess they may need 3D for the Chinese market.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the trailer ahead of Way of Water. The stereo depth was most noticeably strong on the scenes where Optimus Prime is pointing a gun out of the screen.
They also played the Quantumania trailer in 3D. Both of them seemed quite decent as conversions go. Not too shabby, but of course Avatar blew them away.

I'll try to catch a screening next year.
