Tempting but I dont know.......have you ordered from that 3rd party before?

Amazon hasn't shipped my copy yet so won't know till it arrives how true that is.

Thanks guys, decided to order it myself too. Says 1-2 months shipping so plenty of time to hum and haw it lol I'm sure I'll keep it though. And love it.

^ The original/expensive edition had picture-discs. I'm pretty sure the current/cheaper edition does not. But lmk if you know otherwise.

I wouldn't mind the LP too, have always been skeptical of picture-discs because historically they were for looking at rather than playing, PQ-wise. IDK about these days though, sounds like they're much better.

I tend to try and avoid 3rd parties tbh so no can't say I'm familiar with. but it looks like they have only 5-star reviews lol. Literally got a shipping notice just now so we'll see how it goes, Ill keep you posted.

edit: damn, looks like its gone back up to $90, glad I pulled the trigger when I did (though watch it drop to $30 on Boxing Day)

It only has 10 'reviews' though. Looks like the same seller on the amazon.com posted about here:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=348454

They suspect its Kino who is the seller but dont confirm. You might think thats a good thing but Kino misprinted the shipping label which caused a big headache in the one order I made from their site.

This is an audiophile pressing by MoFi, it's on black "SuperVinyl".

I'm not sure which expensive edition you mean (there's been so many releases of this album) but this will probably be the definitive release of this album, along with the double 45RPM version that is coming late 2023. It's the equivalent of a Criterion 4K UHD release basically.

Done! Thank you!

Edit: I know it says Steelbook but blu-ray.com lists a standard 4K for it and Amazon.ca doesn't have any other listing for a 4K.

I also got the Dracula 30th Anniversary 4K Steelbook for $34,99+tx.

Blu-ray.com lists a steelbook and shows the slipcover for Running Man.

Oh, I missed it said steelbook! Different artwork than the US one (right) so I was confused.

Same artwork. Someone chose the slipcover as the main pic for the Canadian version.

Omg, amazon customer service is going to drive me nuts!
I pre-ordered Carrie 4k weeks ago. I've still yet to receive it and now the delivery date says February 8! If i order a new copy right now i'll receive it on Thursday. It's 7$ more so I don't really want to. So i wrote to customer service and they keep only copy and pasting the same thing again. They can't do anything about it and they tell me to cancel and re-order, even though it's more expensive now. Insane! They are driving me nuts lol. And they keep lying, saying the item isn't available near me which is why it takes so long yet if i order a new copy i'll receive it in two days.

Sorry, had to rant. Amazon's customer service has gone down the drain. They are absolutely useless.

You could maybe try to update your address, payment method or shipping speed (if you can do it without adding any shipping cost). I did that once this year with a blu-ray that was in stock but wouldn't ship because of a previous shipping estimate and the blu-ray entered the shipping process almost immediately.

Thanks. The only thing that worked was changing the shipping speed, I had to pay 5$ more but at least i'll be getting it this Friday. What a frustrating experience. Thanks for the tip!

Crazy that anyone who hadn't pre-ordered and buys it now will have it before we will.

Is it safe to say that Boxing Day for physical media is dead? The "Deals" are kind of a joke. Black Friday was significantly better and it was still pretty bad this year.

They billed me for my Carrie pre-order on the 19th and it has been sitting showing shipping soon ever since so I couldn't even change the shipping speed or anything. It finally shipped today and they billed me again without refunding the original charge first. It is the fourth time this month that has happened for orders. Completely unacceptable service lately and they want to keep letting more and more employees go to make it worse and worse.

Not just for physical media, but pretty much everything. Boxing Day just keeps getting worse and worse.
