I might just go with the steelbooks and hope V and VI get matching steelbooks down the road. Hopefully the individual releases include everything and nothing is exclusive to the box set.

Balboa is a decent film, it's just so depressing. All the good times are gone and Rocky is mentally stuck in the past. Balboa and Creed 1 are worth watching but I don't need them in my shelf.

V and Creed 2... I H8 those two, but for different reasons.

The new artwork looks a bit like the custom covers I did a few years back. Take a look:

If true, I'll be very happy, as its what ive been hoping for. I've always wanted an alternate cut of V, there's so much better footage out there than what we got in the theatrical cut. Where is this info coming from?

As long as we still get the theatrical cuts then it's all good.

I hope it's like the Karate Kid set where there are individual cases and slips. If we don't get individual cases, I'll go the steelbook route and just hope 5 and 6 get a steelbook eventually to match.

This is why I like the film - I can relate to this mental state right now I can't find joy in a lot of the things I used to do anymore. I'm not depressed but I'm a melancholic person by nature and sometimes I do a little too much reflecting on the "way things used to be" lol. 'Balboa' is a very good film for this and many other reasons. I still stand by my decision to hold out for a complete box set, though. I'm very intrigued by the prospect of an alternate version of Rocky V even though I do like the theatrical cut. I may be in the minority by saying I think it's a very good film on it's own, not necessarily as a boxing film, but I like the themes in it.

I don't believe this is being released as a box set. I think they are waiting until Rocky V and Rocky Balboa get released on 4K UHD to do a box set of all 6 movies.

There's this:

Sounds legit. Just unclear if it's going to be a slipcase like the Blu-ray "Heavyweight" collection or individual cases.

Paramount make a dumb decision to release only 1-4 Star Trek's in a box and then not to be outdone MGM/WB have to follow suit and be just as stupid.

Honestly this won't sell because people won't be fooled twice by the movie studios. I'm waiting for 1-6 or individuals.

my opinion on the aspect ratio is as long as that altered aspect ratio stays exclusive to the director's cut I'm fine with it

he could make as many changes to he wants to the movie imo, just as long as the theatrical cut is completely unaltered and available

Don't care. If there's nothing exclusive in it, there's no reason to wait, for me. All the discs are going to be put into one case anyway.

I just hope they add on "The Rocky Saga: Going the Distance" doc (which never got a home video release) as well as the 40th anniversary doc.

Does Warner Bros not have the rights to release V and "Rocky Balboa"? Balboa was mainly released by Sony right?

Another poster mentioned that Stallone is actively working on 5 and 6 and they aren't done yet.

I guess WB wanted to go ahead and get the set out instead of waiting. I just hope we don't get burned and the latter never end up coming out. It doesn't make sense to do a box set for 1-4 and then another box set for 5 and 6. They'd have to include Creed I'd imagine.

I think they would do another box set with all 6 movies or one huge box set with the 3 Creed movies as well.

The problem with that is the people that buy the first box set get burned since they'd have to buy another box set with movies they already own. It wouldn't shock me if that happens though. Ideally, they should be selling singles and a box set with all 4 if someone wants to do that for a little cheaper.

Either way, it's dumb to be in this position. They should have just waited until 5 and 6 are done. As you mentioned, I'm guessing they are expecting 5 and 6 to be done around the time Creed 3 is scheduled to be out so 5 ,6 and Creed 1-3 would be the volume 2.
