This film Brick, is definitely an acquired taste IMO, starring Joe Levitt.
I wasn't able to get into the character story or dialog and wasn't able to relate to it. I heard a lot of hype about it, but when I watched it, I kept wondering what they loved about it. Even so, it was a career changing film for the director for sure, made with very little money apparently. I couldn't find a trailer that wasn't an R rated preview for Brick, released back in 2005 or 2006 I think. Looper, that was hyped up too, but I couldn't get into that film either with Willis as the time traveling star. He's doing well with Knives Out films it seems. |
