wait, oh I get it- 8 am Ouch. I got the HD box instead of the DVR box (and for some reason I was too cheap to pay the $100 to get the all-in-one box) I guess I'll have to drag my a$$ out of bed on my "Official Sleep In Day"

Eh, I think I'll pass. The CGI looks pretty bad and the movie itself looks a little cheesy to me. Plus, I did not like this guys other films too much either (especially The Day After Tomorrow).

Movie looks pretty cool. I hope that's not everything in the movie though, isn't this Sony? They showed like some of the best scenes from Quantum of Solace and Spider-Man 3 through their trailers. There will likely be a silly story, but if these actions scenes are as entertaining as they are in the trailer, I'll like it.

As for the actual 2012 date, I don't know what to say. Mayans never said it'd be the end of the world, they didn't even say that that was the end. They just stopped writing the calendar, and then people started attaching theories based on completely different cultures to the date.

What do you think people will be talking about after 2012 has passed?

dolphinc, I think you mean the Earth will be ALIGNED with the center of the galaxy then, not actually in the center.

My hangover going away and I had a moment of clarity. I'm fairly certain the Earth's polarity flipped once before and it did not work out too well then. (A LONG time ago)

We should clearly stay to the point of this thread. What do think will be the outcome once this movie is released? Is Roland able to deliver a classic? or is this another Hollywood nonsense? What are your thoughts?.

I personally loved ID4 and Day After Tomorrow, and Godzilla is watchable (if only for laughs at how lame it was)

So I think I will HIGHLY enjoy this film.

He may not make "classics" but he sure as hell makes entertaining and good (imo) movies

Edit: 10,000 BC was also a hilariously bad movie and I enjoyed it for some sick and twisted reason.
So, worst case scenario, this movie will suck hard but will be hilarious in how much suck it truly is.
