That's because everyone wants to hate the PS3. I got mine on launch and all I have heard since I got it was what a waste of money. Its a forced purchase of a blu-ray player. A) an elite is $479 B) crapy hd-dvd add on $199. $700 dollars for that compared to $499 for a ps3 ($649 with tax when i got mine). People just don't wanna admit that it is a better console, it offers more than any console ever has for the money. I love the "forced" blu-ray. I now have 43 blu-ray movies and couldn't be happier.
