Watched Shawshank in 4K last night. Tonight it will be Glass 4K.

Monday it will be some 4K filth with Stiff Competition! (That’s very honest from me! )

Can’t wait to buy Aftersun on Blu-Ray. Probably most excited about that one of the early releases on disc. Hatching also looks interesting and I will certainly be picking up Watcher. Good start to the year disc wise.

Have been into some old westerns for a couple of days. Released in 1968 Once Upon A Time in the West remains one of my all time favorites. Just received Bandolero! from Twilight Time, learned not to wait in purchasing titles from them. If they sellout of a good title then you will have to pay scalper price for it.

Once Upon A Time in the West is a classic for sure, I love this film too. I enjoy the old classic westerns, thanks to my dad's love for them as well and me watching them with him as a kid. However I only really appreciated them when I was a bit older. I don't remember seeing Bandolero! though, so I'll have to check that one out.

I can highly recommend Warlock - another western with Henry Fonda and Richard Widmark, and also released by Twilight Time - an excellent film in my opinion.

And you're right about buying Twilight Time titles straight away. I left it way too late to buy the James Coburn films Our Man Flint and In Like Flint which were released by TT quite a while ago, and are now being offered for silly money by some sellers. I'll stick with the DVD's for now.

Thanks for the Warlock recommendation, added to my list and ordered from Screen Archives: Warlock (TWILIGHT379-BR), Rough Night in Jericho (KLSC25129BR) and The War Wagon (UNIV191329160275-BR) in westerns, in 3D ordered Dynasty 3-D (KLSC25285BR). If I have saw any of these I do not remember them so they are a blind buy. Steedeel should be proud!

One of our favorite movies, “a polar bear fell on me”, IMO a very scene. Not sure I would agree with the ranch hand in Yellowstone that declared, “Roadhouse is the best movie ever made” but we do like it. It was sad the way Swayze and Healey passed. Really like:

I watched The Young Like It Hot 4K disc the other day and that transfer is stellar. Being that the 80's were quite colorful, the HDR grade only enhances the proceedings. I have not watched my copy of Stiff Competition 4K disc yet.

I've never seen Warlock but have heard it was great. It's supposedly the inspiration for Robert Parker's "Appaloosa" novel, which was eventually co-written, produced, and directed by Ed Harris. The Appaloosa film is also great, and should make for a good double feature with Warlock.

I bought these this week:

My brother is in Taiwan for vacation and I've asked him to bring back some rare discs for me (mostly Chinese UHDs).

It’s almost certain to be a looker. Like you say, 80’s erotica really pops.

You may also like to check out:

My Darling Clementine (1946) - Henry Fonda, Victor Mature
Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957) - Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas
The Big Country (1958) - Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Burl Ives

I only mentioned the above 3 films as they happen to be the ones I recently watched myself and for me are outstanding westerns. Henry Fonda and Burt Lancaster both play Wyatt Earp in the first two films, with Victor Mature and Kirk Douglas playing Doc Holliday.

The Big Country is a stunning film with a superb cast, and has always been one of my favourites. I think you would enjoy it.

Have Appaloosa in my collection and really like it. Also have Sweetwater with Harris in it, his charter is a hoot!

Have you guys picked up ‘The English’ tv series on Blu? It’s the western genre.

This is the version to get as the older MGM disc allegedly has a problem with the image being stretched.
