I heard Sony isn't going to be making that many BC updates after this season; I sure hope this isn't the case, as it would seriously lower the value of new PS3s.

I do think that the hardware will be put back in eventually, but still, they need to optimize the BC part as a key feature of why PS2 owners should get PS3s.
