Oh I know it’ll never happen. I will just continue not to watch. This was the first time I’ve watched the playoffs since it’s inception. I much prefer the FCS, although North Dakota State has made that miserable the past decade.

At least we're at a point where a team like TCU has a shot to compete for a national title when they have a great season. in the late 2000's-early 2010's, they had several perfect or 1 loss regular seasons (yeah, in the MWC, I know) but never got a shot because the system was top-2 at the time. Their Andy Dalton led 2014 team was one of the best non-power conference teams I ever saw

As a UCF fan, it is maddening that every time we get invited to join a major conference, it falls apart just before we join. We got into the Big East many years ago, only for it to fall apart, becoming the AAC - a non-power conference. Now we finally get into the Big 12, just in time for two of the powerhouse football programs Texas and Oklahoma to ditch the conference. With the new program in and those two out, the conference is seriously watered down.
I suppose the only good part is the move to a 12 team playoff partly nullifies the weaker Big 12 UCF is joining. If UCF were to have a season similar to 2017 or 2018, it would be all but impossible to get shut out of the playoff. |

Yeah, I mention Texas more for brand recognition. That team is a bit of an enigma. Literally every year they have top-10 in the national recruiting class, and often top-5. Yet they somehow manage to lose between 4 and 7 losses every season going back to the late Mack Brown years.

Deion Sanders entire Colorado team has entered the transfer portal.
![]() Seems like things are not going so hot, he is no longer in division never mattered at college never mattered. He is now at a big boy program and his first spring game, half of his team walks off and hits the portal to get away. Not a good ;look or start for him, the AD best start to brush up that resume. |

There is a lot of smoke that schools are trying to get out of the ACC. FSU is joined by Clemson, Miami, UNC, NC State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech as the seven programs looking at what it would entail to break the Grant of Rights GOR.
Before going any further, here’s what you need to know about the grant-of-rights and why it matters: The ACC is television partners with ESPN through 2036, and any money an ACC school earns through TV revenue in that span is conference property. Basically, programs breaking the GoR would forfeit the ability to monetize a majority of its televised games through 2036 in all sports. So dissolving the GoR isn’t an option if you want to make money via TV rights, which is something the SEC and Big Ten are doing at a superior level to the ACC right now as their programs are making about $30 million more, each, annually than ACC teams from TV alone. The GoR is thought to be ironclad from a legal standpoint, and breaking it would lead to an expensive fee(9-figures, expensive). There is a caveat, however. If a majority of the ACC members align – so, at least eight out of 14 – in exiting the conference, there’s the belief that the GoR could be challenged and dissolved successfully in court. |

Schools like Vanderbilt and Rutgers making 30 million more a year than the top ACC Schools is crazy. It was dumb to sign that contract to begin with, and now fighting to get out of it. So from my understanding it takes 8 teams from the conference to leave to blow up the Grant of Rights. I saw on Twitter that UL is also on board so that would make 8 teams. I'm still in I will believe it when I see it stage tho. If true the ACC days could be numbered. |
