Default 4K/Faux-K Playoff football!

https://tvanswerman.com/2023/01/10/w...ffs-in-4k-hdr/

Fox this weekend (January 14-15) will air both the Seattle Seahawks-San Francisco 49ers first round playoff game and the New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings first round matchup in 4K HDR.

The Seahawks-49ers game will start Saturday (January 14) at 4:30 p.m. ET while the Giants-Vikings matchup will take place Sunday (January 15) at 4: 30 p.m. ET.

The games can be watched in 4K HDR on the Fox Sports or Fox Now apps by using your TV Everywhere user name and password from your pay TV provider.

The pay TV services that are expected to carry both games on special 4K channels are DIRECTV, Dish, Comcast, Verizon, Optimum, YouTube TV, and FuboTV. (In markets where the Fox affiliate is provided with your programming package.) Check your on-screen guide for more details.

You can access the 4K feed on the Fox Sports or Fox Now apps by clicking on the thumbnail description of the game in the app. (Fox network affiliates will simulcast the contest in high-def.)

Note: Fox’s 4K football and basketball broadcasts are upscaled from 1080p HDR. Upscaling is the process when one video format is converted to another. Fox takes the 1080p HDR signal and converts it to a 4K format. Upscaling 4K is not considered as good as native 4K, but the inclusion of HDR can offer heightened colors and vividness.

Never know but with the way it is with 4 teams kids just wanna go to a playoff team.
But now with 12 teams & NIL exploding the hope is the talent gets more spread out.
Teams a notch below the big 6 can say "come here you can make $$ be a starter which helps your draft stock & still have a good shot at the playoffs."

+ from a bettors perspective it makes alot more betting opportunities like last nite even when the live in game spread was going 20-24-27 everyone was still laying the pts cause you could see how the game was going.

Maybe, maybe not. 4 was never the right format when you have 5 Power conferences, let alone Independents and smaller conferences. 5 out of 6 of those SEC champions came from two schools. The conference as a whole is just like most others, which has a few top tier schools and then a bunch of others. If anything, NIL and transfer portal is hurting other schools being competitive.

Who would I most like to lose the SB in 2023? Whoever the Chiefs would be playing from the NFC (assuming the Chiefs make it)...otherwise, I don't hate any of the teams that did make it.

The portal should help. Teams like Alabama and Georgia are practically 3 deep at every position with 4-5 star recruits. Now some of those players are entering the portal when they realize they're buried on the depth chart and not getting the opportunities there.

Anyhow, I hope Dak plays like he did against the Vikings throughout the entire playoffs...but I'm not holding my breath.

Business Insider - FTX bankruptcy documents show list of investors set to be completely wiped out, including Tom Brady and Robert Kraft

Both Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen owned more shares of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX than even Robert Kraft and Kraft's venture capital firm. Estimates are about $70 million dollars (real money.)

Ah well, I never liked those FTX commercials anyway.

Mentioned last mnth how little that story was covered guess media doesnt want to get on bradys bad side.

Remember we now start the new playoff OT rule where opening TD doesnt win game.
So many strategies.
If you win cointoss do you kick so you know what score you have to match ??
If you receive & score a TD do you go for 2 ??
If you score a TD do you then onside kick cause if you recover the game is over ??
Hope it happens.

At this point they should just play the whole quarter, no sudden death at all.

There is no sudden death now since each team has a chance to possess the ball.

Problem with full qtr is they want to keep it as short as possible.
They dont want this scenario:
poss 1 team A kicks FG
poss 2 team B punts
poss 3 team A punts
poss 4 team B kicks FG
qtr ends

Now you have to play another qtr ??

Why bother? As long as Namath is still alive, the QB curse lives on. Also, Woody Johnson owns the team.

Lol, man you really hate Namath!

If your team manages to get a QB they would be competing at the top of the afc imo, why quit on them now? They finally identified that Wilson is not the guy and i would expect them to target a veteran that can play and maybe use a 3rd or later pick to take a stab at a rookie.
