Box Office Mojo shows it at 324 Mil. Where do you get your numbers?

T4 was definitely saved by WW BO - but I don't think it will get to 400 Mil.

If it has a month left to play in theaters - it will be in less and less theaters as that month goes on. If it made 5 Mil this weekend, expect 4/3.5 Mil next weekend, and 2 Mil the weekend after that, etc.

No way it's hitting 400 Mil. It only made a little over 250 thousand in the states.

Wow, as if Terminator is only at $122.7 million and The Hangover in one month is at $204.2 million.

What are you referring to? A website's stats?

I think the numbers you are quoting are US only.

Ok, I was confused because you said, "as if" - like you don't believe the numbers.

Also partially true. In March if somebody said The Hangover would be beating Terminator by such a wide margin I'd laugh at them, even though the comedy is a safer bet I just figured Terminator would have done better.

LOL: Man Arrested For Running Around Naked In A Casino Claims He’s a Terminator

Quote:
On Tuesday, a 19-year-old man was arrested for running through Stateline Casino naked, claiming he is a Terminator who had traveled back in time from the future. The arresting officer was flagged down by a motorist, who saw a man running near the Nevada/California state line fully nude. The officer finally caught up to the man in front of Harrah’s, but the suspect ignored the deputy’s commands to stop and instead ran inside the casino. The police caught up with the man and subdued him with a taser, after he ran into an arcade where he startled children who were playing video games.

Apparently the man, Sean Stanley Smith, not actually a Terminator, later fussed up to ingesting marijuana and LSD. Paramedics took Smith the Barton Memorial Hospital for treatment, and later transported to Douglas County Jail where he was jailed on charges of indecent exposure and resisting a peace officer. But, will he “Be Back?”

That's due to the gullibility of a lot of the public to what the news reports.

They will probably wait until it's opening in Mexico before they announce the home video release. It's scheduled for release in Mexico on July 31. Mexico will be it's last market to get the release.

It has yet to open in Mexico. Expect $10 million or so from there. It's currently at $230 foreign, it could possibly get to $250 foreign when it's done. The problem is when it gets down to about a million a week, they stop reporting it and then when it's finally pulled, they update the numbers. It will probably stop getting updated anywhere for about a month then all of the sudden, they'll add 5 to 7 million to the final foreign take.

So it looks like it'll finish with about $375 or so plus the $12 million from FX. It'll get something from HBO which should bring it to about $400 million before home video.

I hope it's enough to green light a sequel

Edit:
The-Numbers.com lists Sony paying $100million to the producing studio for distribution rights overseas and WB paying $60 million for US dist. That's only $40million the Halcyon company needs to make to recoup it's investment.

I'm thinking it will pull in around $50million - $70million at least from home video, possibly more.

So that COULD put it up there not far under $500million
thats if the FX and HBO rights get it to the $400million mark that is.

That is more than enough for Halycon to move forward with another film, as long as they find a studio interested in distributing it.

It should make $60 million from DVD alone. If you go to the-numbers.com and look at dvd sales, they only track sales as long as the movies are in the top charts. If it's only selling a few hundred copies a week it never gets reported. Also, the numbers they list are DVD only (no blu). It'll make over $100 million from DVD and BLU. In fact, it should make $100 million in it's first two months on blu and DVD.

The problem is the speed in which they move forward with the sequel.

Oh yea, i thought they listed dvd/blu sales not just dvd. No wonder some of those home video numbers seemed so low
Maybe I shouldn't crunch numbers after 1 am.

I was looking at some other movies (like Superman Returns), thats what i based my 50-70mil on, what with the drop in prices since 2006/january 2007 when Returns was being tracked and this movie not being even as well liked in the US as Returns was. So yea, when you include dvd and blu it will definitely top $100mil.

I'd like to see the sequel green lit before year's end.
