Inti Creates is releasing a new 2D game action featuring Kurona, Maya, and Shinobu (from the Gal*Gun series) for NS/PC/PS/X on February 23, 2023. There will also be a physical release for NS and PS.

It resembles the GBA/NDS Castlevania games, looks like it has a lot of potential. I don't see an official site yet and it isn't on the US/JP eShop yet, but you can wishlist the Steam version here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2...s_Demon_Purge/

The game was announced a few months ago but I don't see another post for it, hopefully this isn't a duplicate.

Almost finished with my first play through, it’s fun but a bit easy. A few deaths here and there in typical 2d fashion (like getting hit mid-jump which knocks you into a pit) but nothing too frustrating; supposedly an actual hard mode is available once you complete the game. There are a few things that require additional visits to some stages, an in-game map would be really helpful but it can only be viewed at the level select screen.

Anyway, having fun with this. There are some entertaining homages to the Castlevania series.

Inti Creates is changing the name to Gal Guardians, apparently there is a mobile game called GrimGuard

I wonder if Inti will send out updated spine art for those who picked up the physical copies. This chamgebinkh affects international releases, the Japanese domestic release is still Grim Guardians.
