Pro Football Network's Trey Wingo reports Aaron Rodgers being traded to the Jets "is done."

Wingo has been dialed in on the Rodgers situation in New York since the offseason got underway. Though nothing is official, we'll bet on Wingo having the scoop once again. Barring a last-second change of heart, Rodgers will be a Jet soon, possibly even by the end of the day. With a return to Green Bay unlikely and the Raiders signing Jimmy Garoppolo earlier today, Rodgers landing in New York was all but inevitable. Coming off a down year in 2022, it's certainly a risk to bring Rodgers on this late in his career. However, the alternative would be to stick with Zach Wilson. Given Wilson's struggles, New York had to make a move, and now they'll be a strong contender to dethrone the Chiefs in the AFC.

Beat writers saying that the Hargrave signing was an alternative to a possible big swing for a QB but that they are happy to stand pat with Trey, Brock and signing a vet as QB3.

Happy for Jimmy G and wish him well. Maybe McDaniels can find some old NE magic and prove he is a competent HC.

Hargrave is a nice pickup, D-Line is going to be fun to watch again this season.
As for McGlinchey, I won’t miss him. His pass blocking left a lot to be desired. The 49ers need to improve the offensive line and if losing McGlinchey is a step in that direction….so be it. Also happy for Garoppolo. Good dude that just can’t seem to shake the injury bug. Hopefully he can stay healthy in LV.

That 40-17 record as a starter though…that might take a hit playing for McDaniels.

Niners have signed a one year deal with Sam Darnold. I think he will be a capable QB3
I can't think of any major moves that need to be made via FA. They can draft whatever needs they feel the have. Offseason priority will be locking up Bosa with a long term deal.

Yeah, I think the Lazard signing pretty much seals the deal. Still don't understand why he just doesn't break this silence stuff because it already is not doing him any favors with the fan base listening to NY radio the last few days. I know this guy marches to the tune of his own drum, but he will soon learn very much so how NYC media is in no way shape or form what he is used to in Nowhere Green Bay Wisconsin.

Hiring Hackett was the first step, but yeah, a Lazard signing essentially seals the deal.

Agreed, it's annoying af to miss out on other FAs cuz we have no idea what our cap situation will be while he's taking his damn time.

Lol, I’m pretty sure he’s aware of how much bigger NYC media is over GB. I just don’t think he cares. I also think he doesn’t really want to play for the Jets, or at least has serious doubts. He’s been an elite and high profile player for so long, no matter where he goes…..the media will follow.
