Looks like they are selling empty VHS cartons now for $15 USD a pop (before postage). Pretty expensive for a piece of a cardboard with no tape. When you haven’t released anything in a year I guess you’ve gotta find a way to keep the revenue going.

It'd be depressing watching how much of a mess this company is if it wasn't so funny. It's really just absurd to know that they'd release cardboard VHS cartons before the releases they've been saying have been "coming soon" for a few years now without any details.

A little strange to me that this social media chick yesterday actually commented on one of my TikTok posts for a new Darkforce release I posted asking if I had any Massacre Video releases. I replied just one which is Hard Gore but mentioned a couple others on their site that looked good and you'd think she would have replied "hey you can use code Daylight and buy them!" but didn't.

Just saw it, I'm glad they're finally acknowledging the release with at least a few more details than the usual vague "coming soon." It's pretty obvious that this announcement is just damage control over the mess that started over the VHS slips or whatever, but I'm fairly confident that this announcement means the releases will actually be coming soon. They probably know they're screwed if they don't do something to get people excited again, and they have to know that if they don't deliver then it'll be a mess.

I had something similar happen to my email updates from Error 4444. Probably just a site glitch. Honestly, I don’t believe they’d unsubscribe you. Are you going to sign up again to the newsletter? I can tell from past posts that you, just as I, are really wanting to get your hands on a copy of this important piece. I’d hate to see you miss out on it. I’m still afraid that I’ll be working my shift when the preorder announcement drops. I know in my gut that this definitive upgrade to MBtS is a day one sell out, and I’ll be so bummed if I miss it.

I hope people don’t continue to bail on MV over this. Or even worse, that they rush this thing (lol) out the door unfinished because they’re afraid of just that. They’re just as excited about this title as we are and they want to deliver us a grand slam with the definitive presentation of MBtS. Could they have been more straightforward about the process and the difficulties they ran into, sure. Doing so may have even heightened a lot of fans excitement for this film rather than the long-running joke it became. I tell you what though, I’m grateful MV is doing what they do, and I’m glad this pitch dark war story is getting the upgrade it deserves. It’s a crime more people haven’t seen it, brazenly cold as the film may be.

The jokes did get old. Knowing the number of people wanting to get their hands on this one, they could’ve been a little more transparent about why it was taking so long. No doubt they’re busy just like we are, but a juicy bone or something every once in a while would’ve been kinda nice.

Best thing I can say about Massacre Video...the social media girl they have is hot. Otherwise, I'm not sure it's worth waiting for the MBTS release the way they've acted about it.
