Watching Red Angel yesterday, at one point I imagined Hal Emmerich coming in and asking, "Can love bloom even on a battlefield?" His cheese almost would have been at home among the other writing. It's entertaining melodrama, but still melodrama.

Surprised no one mentioned it here, but Arrow has put out a little teaser for their upcoming (UK-only) Bruce Lee box set

I was about to sign up to Arrow to make an order from them direct, but see they have a referral system in place.

Anyone here a member and want some free points and voucher by referring me?
I figure someone might as well get some benefit out of me spending all my money on movies.

With 4K UHD upgrades of The Beyond and Cannibal Holocaust coming from Grindhouse, Pieces is a distinct possibility. I'm curious to see who announces it first.

Okay so in a funny twist of fate, in the few weeks since I posted this...I somehow ended up with two copies.

So uhh...if anyone wants one for cheap, let me know!

About a year and a half ago. Not a lot of detail on it, I think they had a screening in Denver once or twice. Cohen did talk about how they had to cut scenes for time, and these scenes were more sophisticated, but I don't know if it's confirmed this cut has the said scenes. Could be like an assembly cut.

Interesting. To me The Stuff (theatrical) had its moments but it was one of the less successful Cohen-Moriarty collaborations for me (even taking into account the IMO underrated Return to Salem's Lot). If Cohen said that the cut scenes added something to the movie (other than length) I would be interested to keep an eye on this.

It wasn't mentioned here, but Arrow has the rights to Dolls, and did a new 2K restoration for it, which will be premiering at the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival in May. Since Shout's release is OOP, they may have gotten US rights as well

Forbidden Worlds Film Festival is proud to be screening the UK premiere of a new 2K restoration of Dolls, scanned from an original 35mm Interpositive, supervised by James Pearcey and James White, Arrow Films.

Arrow also just uploaded a trailer for it (unlisted) 2 days ago

"Dolls" would be great to get from Arrow. I like that movie quite a bit, but I couldn't resist selling it for $80 on eBay about a year ago. I figured Scream would put out a 4k eventually, but if that's not to be, I'd also happily just get another regular blu release from anybody!

I think all of their recent MGM licences (since the start of 2022) have been either dual territory or US-only, so it is indeed a very good bet they'll also have Dolls for the US.

What the point in only doing this at 2k when these titles are doing so well in 4K? Was hoping Vinegar Syndrome had the rights and could it out to go along with their excellent release of From Beyond

Oh yes! Too bad it's not 4K, but I've been wanting this one so I'm glad to see it come back in print!
